Alexis acts as an Online Education Associate for the Goldin Institute after completing a year of service here through the Americorps program Public Allies in 2013. Through her service, she found new direction and was inspired to continue her college career at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she is currently a sophomore studying Communications and International Relations. Aside from her studies and position at the Goldin Institute Alexis also works part time as a docent at the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, as a communication associate for the intergenerational peace initiative "Cities of Peace", as a community organizer for Chicago's first ward Aldermanic office, and as a yoga instructor focused on engaging underserved youth. Through her years of public service she has gained a deep understanding of humanitarian issues and has a strong desire to assist in community development at home and abroad. Alexis now lives with her family in Chicago, Illinois.
